OPAL:

In ancient times, the Opal was known as the Queen of Gems because it encompassed the colors of all other gems. Its name is thought to be derived from the Sanskrit "Upala", meaning "precious stone" and later the Greek derivative "Opallios", meaning "to see a change of color". People believed that a cut and polished Opal would share the qualities of any other stone it shared a color with. In Greek mythology, Opals were considered the stone form of the tears that Zeus wept after the defeat of the Titans, while in mystical circles the Opal represents hope, innocence, and purity with strong connotations of happiness, faithfulness, loyalty, and confidence.
